Oh the humanity! Or should I say “Oh, the Dachshundity!”

That’s One Depressed Little Dachshund!

I have been sick quite a bit this year with various flus, upper respiratory infections, etc. The only good thing about all of that was that I got to spend lots of time reading with the Little Girl on my lap in our favorite chair. When I went back to work, she wondered where her chair buddy went, and when he would return. One morning, as Bessie was pondering these things, Adriane got this shot of her pining for her Poppa…

She is some good and faithful little critter! Not to worry Bessie, your Poppa will be home soon. But in the meantime, keep a sharp eye out for any joggers, bicyclists, or stroller babies that might pass by the window. If you see any, be sure to give them a long and loud Doxie greeting! :)

Bess Kraemer in: Dachshund Dilemma

What happens when playtime throws you a curve? What happens when unseen forces are working against you? This is the true story of a Dachshund, a stuffed toy and the dastardly effects of gravity!

It all started out innocently enough with Bessie enjoying her bone up on the ottoman…

…but as usual, her exuberant play launched it onto the ground. Oh no! What’s a Good Girl to do???

A quick look over toward the couch to see if Poppa will help. Drat! He’s not there. The one time when he could have been of some use, too!

Seeing no other options, Bessie took the only recourse available to her. One death-defying leap to the ground from high atop Mt. Footstool, and all was well with the world again!

Stay tuned for our next adventure: “Bess Kraemer Yells at the Mysterious Skylight Reflection”.
